The Best Hair Loss Treatments

By David C. Brown

For some people, hair loss is a disorder that usually occurs later in life or at an early age. When it is very immature and severe, it is a cause of distress. Even though there is no cure for hair loss, there are several treatments that can be applied in order to stimulate hair growth or reduce the rate of hair loss in the long run. Such treatments usually aim to replace the damaged hair and stimulate re-growth for those people with advanced loss of hair. The following are the best hair loss treatments that can be used to prevent baldness.

Minoxidil

Minoxidil is a lotion that is applied to the scalp experiencing hair loss. There are several brands available in the market that serves the same purpose with no prescription from a doctor. It is usually recommended that it should be applied during morning and evening hours in order to stimulate hair growth. Hair re-growth normally appears after six months. Those people under medication must consult a doctor and pregnant women are not advised to use the treatment because it is not favorable for their health in the long run.

Finasteride

Finasteride comes in a tablet form and has an active ingredient called Propecia and has been in use since the early 1990s. One tablet per day will eventually do its best to prevent further hair loss and can stimulate a re-growth by 90%. Positive impacts may appear after six months and after two years for full re-growth. Although it has no side effects, it is not recommended for use by women. It does not require a doctor's prescription; therefore, it is available over the counter in a drug store.

Spironolactone

Women use Spironolactone treatment to block the adverse effects of androgen hormones. It is used to prevent hair loss especially in the scalp area, and only a prescription from a doctor is required. It is advised that pregnant and breastfeeding women should not use the treatment because it is not good for their health.

Cyproterone acetate
This hair treatment was developed in the 1970s and was a breakthrough in hair treatment. It works by blocking the effects of androgen hormones. It is usually applied in the area where the substantial loss of hair has taken place. It regenerates the growth of hair moreover cures hereditary hair loss especially in women. It should be noted that Cyproterone acetate requires a prescription from a doctor.

4 Best Hair Loss Treatment Tips For a Scalp Care

By Nigel T

It only makes sense that because hair grows out of your scalp, nurturing your scalp is an essential part of hair care. The scalp must be nurtured to create a hair-growing environment. Nevertheless, you would be surprised by how many hair treatment experts miss that point.

So-called "experts" will advise you to saturate your scalp in harsh chemicals hoping to somehow fertilize the hair follicle. Instead, they increase the existing toxins in your hair follicles that were causing the problem in the first place. They also damage the scalp, causing swelling and restricting hair growth.

Instead of chemical solutions, the best hair loss treatments focus on improving scalp health naturally and soothingly. A healthy scalp means a healthy hair follicle that is free to grow hair. If you want a healthy scalp, here are some tips to get you started:

1. Find A Balance Between A Clean Or Too Clean Scalp

Cleaning the scalp is an important part of the treatment for hair loss. It strips away the excess oil which contains the damaging toxins. It also removes germs that deteriorate the follicle's overall health.
You should clean your hair regularly. However, cleaning too frequently will clean away too much of your skin's conditioning oils and cause excessive drying. When this occurs, tiny dead skin cells will cover your scalp and clog the hair follicle. This restricts growth and limits the effectiveness of other scalp treatments.
You are the only one familiar with your scalp's sensitivity. You know how oily your hair gets and how long you can comfortably leave on scalp treatments. It is important you find a healthy balance that keeps your scalp clean but does not over-dry the skin.

2. Increase The Humidity At Night

This is actually a very popular treatment for other skin issues like psoriasis and eczema. Those patients know that a warm, moist environment promotes healing within the skin. The skin of your scalp will respond the same way.
In your bedroom, the easiest way to create a moist healing environment is by buying a warm-heat humidifier. This will not only increase the moisture in your bedroom's air but will raise the temperature. This should create a "growing atmosphere" that will help restore and revitalize your scalp.

3. Whenever You Get A Spare Moment, Give Your Scalp A Massage

It is a proven fact that massage stimulates healing by increasing circulation. In your scalp, this means the healing nutrients from your diet can more easily reach your ailing hair follicle. Almost all hair loss programs incorporate scalp massage, combined with a topical remedy, to stimulate new hair growth and stop hair loss.
In addition to a once-a-day intensive massage combined with a topical remedy, you should also grab any chance you have throughout the day to do a quick massage.
There may be a spare two minutes in the afternoon as you take a break from staring at work on the computer screen. You can massage for a few minutes while you wait for dinner to cook. There are many opportunities, so keep an eye out.

This will keep the blood flow stimulated throughout the day, lengthening the healing time. If you are already using a healthy shampoo that contains nutrients, a portion of those nutrients will be left on your scalp even after rinsing. Giving yourself a massage throughout the day will let those nutrients have better access to your ailing hair follicles.

4. Treat Hair Loss From The Inside And Out

These are excellent treatments for your scalp and hair. They will promote growth and help the hair follicle heal. However, treating your scalp from the outside can only do so much.
You can heal the hair follicle externally. However, this does not prevent the attack from coming from the inside. Abnormal hormones, toxicity from foods, and other symptoms of generally poor health invade your scalp through the bloodstream. They attach to the tissue around the hair follicle, sickening it.
No matter how you nurture the hair follicle externally, another attack will soon make it sick again. The best hair loss treatment programs realize this can be a never-ending process. You will eternally have to play catch up, forever healing your scalp. Forever, that is, unless you correct the problem internally.
Once you correct the problems inside your body, the attack on your hair will stop. This means your healing scalp treatments will be more effective. You will be able to heal the follicle once and for all and finally re-grow hair.
Curing hair loss is a dynamic challenge requiring a great strategy. The Hair Loss Black Book lays out a plan to stop the hormone imbalances and other problems internally which make your hair fall out. It also offers a plan to nurture your scalp back to health externally. This two-fold approach can finally give you a complete solution to hair loss.

PCOS Hair Loss Treatment - Information You Need to Know

By Sally Miller
Around 15% of American women are suffering from female pattern baldness caused by androgenic alopecia. For a female, losing hair can be a much more devastating process than it is for a male. Women are very much judged on their personal appearance, and thinning hair may seem like a de-beautification process. Self-esteem is thus impacted and confidence levels dwindle. In women who are suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome, it is thought that the excessively high levels of male hormone and its byproduct, dihydrotestosterone, are primarily responsible for follicle fallout. This is problematic in menopausal women, as well.

In polycystic ovarian syndrome, hair is thinned just like it is when a male loses his hair. The difference between the two is that when the hair begins to stop presenting new growth, the follicles continue to remain alive. Traditionally, this process kills off the follicle root completely. This means that hair growth and PCOS hair loss treatment is still a very real possibility since hair death has not occurred.

Hormonal fluctuations of the male hormone testosterone seem to be the main cause of hair thinning in women. Women shed hair during menopause, birth control use, post-menopausal conditions, and after a recent pregnancy. Estrogen fluctuations are different and are not as directly involved with thinning hair.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome also is commonly paired with hypothyroidism. This malfunction of the thyroid can contribute to weight gain and continued hair problems. This triggers a woman's confidence in her appearance to drop even lower. There are ways to combat this transformation and regain hair. PCOS hair loss treatments begin with modifying your diet. Consuming better foods rich in iron, magnesium, and other minerals will begin you on your journey to a full head of hair. If you are unable to consume a healthier diet that aids your body nutritionally, add a multivitamin supplement to your diet.

Cease smoking, if applicable. Women with polycystic ovarian syndrome can build up certain cigarette smoke chemicals, which in turn can wreak havoc on one's hairline. This will also assist oxygen flow through the veins and improve health overall.

Supplements are a highly recommended PCOS hair loss treatment option. B vitamins are strongly suggested. The male hair restoration drug Propecia is FDA approved for growing hair in men only. Studies have shown, however, that the supplement saw palmetto is just as efficient in growing hair in women. This supplement also combats hirsutism, which is where a female has facial hair that grows thick and coarse. Provillius is a supplement that utilizes saw palmetto and other essential vitamins to restore hair growth. This may be a more favorable option over having to consume multiple tablets and capsules on a regular basis.

If you which to counter the problem with medication, the only FDA-approved PCOS hair loss treatment for women is Rogaine. This topical approach to hair loss in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome has shown improvement in up to 30% of women. It is recommended that you only use the 2% concentration, not 5%. This is a good way to restore hair, but it will cease growth once treatment is stopped. It is an expensive road to choose from, but within six months you will see results.

A women's last PCOS hair loss treatment option is to undergo a hair transplant. This is where your own hair is moved from an area where thinning is not occurring, usually at the base of the neck and scalp, and placed where hair recession is prominent. This is an expensive procedure, but it is permanent. This process usually takes one to two years to complete.

There are many very simple ways to combat a hair thinning problem with a PCOS hair loss treatment option. It is a matter of pooling your hair restoration knowledge and changing your lifestyle to one that supports a beautiful head of hair.

Effective Hair Loss Treatments For African American Hair - Tips For Growing Black Hair

By Jenna Grey
In order for African Americans to successfully stop hair loss, they must take an approach that involves using regular hair loss treatments along with remedies that are designed especially for growing black hair. You must determine the type of treatment you will need in order to get your strands to grow back.

Why Strands Shed Excessively

Medical conditions such as anemia, thyroid problems, hormonal fluctuations, stress, unhealthy eating habits, or vitamin deficiencies can cause you to lose an excessive number of strands. It is considered normal to lose around 100 strands per day. Anything more than that is a problem.
Decide on a Course of Action

Talk with a physician or licensed dermatologist about your excessive shedding. This will uncover if it is caused by a medical condition. If there is a medical issue, then get treatment for that condition and that may be all that is necessary for your strands to grow back. Remember that certain medications can cause shedding. Do not stop taking medicines or switch medications without consulting your physician.
Nutritional Issues

Nutritional deficiencies can also affect your hair. Make sure that you are getting enough vitamin B and zinc. These vitamins keep the strands strong and cause them to grow. Biotin is a form of vitamin B that can really help regrow hair. You can also get vitamin B from potatoes.
You should also eat spinach, cabbage, and broccoli because they are loaded with iron, which is essential for maintaining healthy strands.
African American Hair Loss Treatments that Promote Growth

African American strands are very susceptible to drying out and becoming brittle, which can lead to breakage. Strands that are chemically treated are even more vulnerable. Keep in mind that your strands are made primarily out of protein. Strands that are constantly styled with perms and relaxers are stripped of their proteins. The protein must be replaced or the strands will break.
Give yourself regular hot oil treatments to give your strands their strength back. You can use castor oil, coconut oil, or olive oil. Massage one of these natural oils onto your scalp. Put a plastic cap on your head and leave it on for at least one hour. The cap will lock in the heat from your head. This will allow the natural oils to penetrate your strands and follicles.
Other Effective Hair Loss Treatments

You can also regrow your strands using certain herbs. Saw palmetto is very effective. This herb blocks the production of the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT causes thinning because it attacks the follicles causing the strands to fall out. Rosemary, nettle root extract, and pumpkin seed are other herbal options.

How Over the Counter Hair Loss Treatments Actually Work

By E. Jules Gibsons

It is true that if you treat your hair loss early on you will most likely get to keep all of your hair if you are a woman and much of it if you are a man. If you want to re-grow your hair after you have become bald, obviously, the results will probably be somewhat disappointing. The secret is to 'catch' the hair follicle before it has completely atrophied; luckily, this does not happen overnight; sometimes it is just 'dormant' and it can be stimulated to produce new hair.

Prescription Treatments
hair loss treatments | hair loss treatments for women | hair loss treatments diy | hair loss remedy women natural treatments | treatments for hair loss | hair loss remedy for men natural treatments | hair loss remedy women natural treatments essential oils | hair loss remedies women natural treatments | Hair Restoration Laboratories | Hair Loss Treatments | ALOPECIA AREATA HOSPITAL - HAIR LOSS TREATMENT | Satyam Hair Transplant in India Hair Loss, Hair fall, Baldness Treatment, Men Women hair restoration |

There are some prescription hair loss treatments that can be effective; the idea that taking a pill a day can solve your hair problem is very appealing. However, if you are a pre-menopausal woman you will not find a doctor willing to prescribe some of those medicines for you (they are supposedly not safe for a male fetus) and if you are a man you may experience some side effects in the long run. Other prescription drugs for women, such as Dianette, can work to some extent (and if you are considering birth control bills anyway why not choose the one type which helps your hair?) but will probably need a 'boost' from topical solutions anyway. Moreover, ingesting drugs every day is not ideal in any circumstance, given that they are not as 'mild' as aspirin, are they?

The Solution in General. Both prescription drugs for hair loss and over the counter treatments address the issue of the most common hair loss form affecting men and women, namely hormonal sensitivity at scalp level to DHT, a hormone which, if it binds to the hair receptors, 'weakens' the hair follicle and eventually stops it from working.

There are generally 2 ways in which you can 'attack' this DHT problem:
1- Reducing DHT levels in general in your body and (in particular) in your scalp.
2 - Interrupt the binding process of DHT to your hair follicles.
This is where I wish to stress a very important point: unless your hair loss is caused by nutritional deficiencies or other similar problems, you will NOT stop it by taking 'hair nutrients'. In fact, if you nourish your hair follicles (by applying hair nutrients directly or ingesting hair nutrients in pill form) without addressing the DHT problem, you may risk irritating the scalp even further. I did! There is no point in stimulating hair growth unless you also get rid of the DHT interference to your hair follicles. If you do
When you research the many over-the-counter hair loss treatments, make sure they claim that they work in one or both the above ways. More importantly, and this is very important if you are considering products advertised online, do your own research into the ingredients they list to make sure the claimed properties are actually real and not just 'hype'

Topical Treatments
hair loss treatments | hair loss treatments for women | hair loss treatments diy | hair loss remedy women natural treatments | treatments for hair loss | hair loss remedy for men natural treatments | hair loss remedy women natural treatments essential oils | hair loss remedies women natural treatments | Hair Restoration Laboratories | Hair Loss Treatments | ALOPECIA AREATA HOSPITAL - HAIR LOSS TREATMENT | Satyam Hair Transplant in India Hair Loss, Hair fall, Baldness Treatment, Men Women hair restoration |

Personally, I find that Minoxidil is not for me, but it does work for many. I used to use a 5% solution combined with topical progesterone (which you can find over the Internet and is a proven anti-DHT hormone by combining with the hair receptors and leaving DHT 'out') and it worked. However, Minoxidil was giving me mild unpleasant side-effects and I decided to stop it. That left me open to experimenting with a few useless products. Over-the-counter homeopathy worked for a while, especially Lycopodium and Sepia, but you need to understand homeopathy really well before experimenting with their many remedies.

What worked for me was a simple shampoo, usually recommended against bad dandruff and scalp irritation. There are several shampoos that claim to 'clean' DHT from your scalp but I would research each product over the Internet, reading reputable web pages such as Wikipedia (and not just blogs or forums); this is what I did and it made the world of difference to me.

Anti-DHT shampoos are discussed on DHT BLOCKING SHAMPOOS.

Over-the-counter natural supplements and pretty much everything that worked well for me is all listed on HAIR LOSS SECRETS.

Hair Transplant: An Effective Hair Loss Treatment

By

The hair transplant technique is becoming a popular choice in the world today. This can highly boost the character or personality of an individual. Follicle transplant is of different types. This includes strip, slit, micro, mini and punch grafting techniques. In addition to the follicle grafting, the patients also undergo scalp reduction or tissue expansion treatment.

Hair fall reasons

Hair loss is mainly caused due to hormonal imbalance, genetic inheritance, and age-related factors. If follicular damage starts at an early age, then the baldness problem gets extremely critical. Hair loss can also be caused by tension or burning injuries. In such cases, transplant therapy is just the ideal solution. These have a proven track record for many years now. So you do not need to worry about their efficiency.

Tuft grafting technique enhances the style quotient of an individual. With these, you will always have high self-confidence. Talk to the surgeon about your needs before you undergo the surgery. Have a proper understanding of the regeneration treatment before the surgery. Then you will always have high confidence in the treatment process.

Ideal candidates for such transplant

The candidates for a transplant need to have healthy locks on the side and back of the head. These serve as the donor areas during the grafting. The follicles are mainly collected from this donor area. Certain factors such as hair color, texture, and curliness alter the replacement technique. Different grafting techniques are available today. We can combine two or more methods for better results. Patients with low tuft growth are not ideal candidates for the replacement.

A hair transplant is a specialized treatment. Before you go for this surgery, you need to find a good replacement surgeon. Experienced doctors have a vast knowledge of different regeneration techniques. Therefore, you can definitely turn down a doctor if he is conversant with only one form of surgery.

When you meet the doctor for the first time, he should thoroughly inspect your hair growth. The surgeon should check the tuft loss as well. If you have a family history of baldness, then the doctor needs to give special attention to your case. They also need to check whether you have undergone a regeneration surgery before or not.

Lifestyle is a crucial factor. So before doing the surgery, the doctor should also assess your lifestyle. He knows about your needs and expectations very well. Then only, you will get the desired results.
